Update Details
Feature: Hardware checks at power-up (memory check, sensor checks, radio module check, data integrity checks), with corresponding error messages in the display.
Feature: The request for the output details of all five outputs in the remote device access from the PFC Advanced and the Composer has been significantly accelerated. When updating PFE Advanced Mini 5 Outputs, any existing PFC Advanced should always be updated as well, because otherwise remote data requests are no longer possible.
Feature: Enable/disable all hazard zones together implemented. On the PFC Advanced, all hazard zones can now be activated or deactivated simultaneously in the hazard zone screen. The device now processes this new data protocol.
Feature: Enable/disable device via radio command implemented. The receiver can now be enabled or disabled at the PFC by a new menu. If the device has been disabled, incoming firing commands are ignored. The disable is indicated by an ‘x’ on the display during firing. When the device is switched on, it is always in the enabled state by default, so there is no memorization. In principle, the 999 device numbers can be used like hazard zones. Wildcards can be used as well.
Feature: After every 50th power-on of the device, a memory maintenance is initiated. This ensures even higher data integrity over the lifetime of the device
Feature: Delete all firing channels and delays via radio command from PFC Advanced.
Feature: New SFX functions implemented. ‘Cue Reverse’, ‘Step Macro’ and ‘Step Sequence Split’ – accessible in the ‘Output Programming’ submenu.
Cue Reverse: Reversing the firing order within a selected output range. For example, if there is a consecutive firing order from the first to the last output (with ascending delays), after a cue reverse over the complete output range, the last output would fire first and the first output last.
Step Macro (only available if step function is installed):
Convenient quick programming of a firing sequence with ascending delays (‘step run’), within a selected output range and with specification of a time offset. The firing LEDs on the device show the step speed as optical simulation together with acoustic signals.
Steps Sequence Split (only available if step function is installed):
Assignment of a firing channel to a selected output range. It is checked whether the delay times of the selected outputs are continuously ascending or descending (i.e. represent a ‘step run’). Otherwise an error message will be displayed. The delay of the first output is set to 0, so that an immediate firing takes place when triggering. All subsequent delays are reduced by the corresponding time difference so that the relative firing intervals remain the same.
Feature: Step and Sleep function can now be activated/deactivated via token/code on the device. To do this, activate and hold ‘Mode’ when powering up.
Feature: Radio field strength calibration implemented. This increases the accuracy of the range measurement and compensates for component tolerances. The radio module is calibrated at the factory, but can or must be calibrated once by the customer on site during a firmware update. If calibration is necessary, this is indicated each time the device is switched on. After calibration has been performed, it can be performed again at any time.
Feature: ‘Measure Continuity?’ query when the device is started. If the user does not confirm within five seconds, the device starts as usual and enters the general screen. Otherwise, the user now has the option to display the resistance values of all five outputs.
Optimization: The resistance measurement now also displays the first digit after the decimal point. Currently it is not yet possible to display this digit also at the PFC. With the implementation of a new radio protocol this should also become possible.
Optimization: When changing the user code to ‘0000’, ‘Code deactivated’ is now displayed instead of ‘Code activated’ as before.
Optimization: Range test result, last range test result, interfering radio signal strength and remaining battery capacity are displayed with a maximum value of 100%, instead of 99% as before.
Optimization: Telegram incompatibilities with PFE Advanced 10 fixed. The device now only responds to requests to the PFE Advanced Mini 5, not to telegrams for the PFE Advanced 10. PFE Advanced Mini 5 now identifies itself at the PFC as such, and no longer as PFE Advanced 10. Thus no compatibility with PFC versions below V2.82. An update of existing devices therefore also requires an update of the PFCs.
Optimization: The teaching of the system ID (Teach-In) was not executed in some rare cases.
